Our Story
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the Orlando area with affordable, quality wedding attire and services with excellent customer service. When we can, we continue to give back to the community through donations to Goodwill, Salvation Army, Brides Against Breast Cancer, the Hope and Help Center of Central Florida, and Operation Princess Project, among others.
History
Carolyn Allen's Bridals & Tuxedos has been serving the formal wear industry in the Orlando area from the Williamsburg Plaza since 1993 and provides quality formal wear products and services at an affordable rate with high quality customer service. After Carolyn Allen retired in 2007, one of Carolyn’s longest-serving employees, Sue, and her family, continued Carolyn's work and kept Carolyn's good name and reputation.
After the recession of 2008, we watched four bridal shops close their doors and began to see our traffic slow down as well. Brides were spending less on gowns, groomsmen attire shifted from tuxedos to more casual suits, and we followed suit. We found a designer who could provide destination style bridal gowns for $138 to $300 and our tan destination/beach suit took off like a rocket. We were able to serve so many more couples at a fraction of the cost and gained our strength back through referrals from those we served.
Accomplishments
Broadcast: Sue, seamstress and owner, has been featured on TLC's The Little Couple, ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition, MTV Tr3s' Quiero Mi Boda, and News 13's Royal Wedding Coverage On Demand. Questions about alterations or custom gowns? Check out the Alterations and Services page.
Industry: We have an impeccable relationship with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, providing on-site gown steaming and tuxedo rental delivery and pick-up at Disney and other attraction area hotels. The Knot has awarded us the Best of Weddings award each year from 2009 through 2015.
Customers/Community: Our small family business is well-known for quality customer service as noted by our customer reviews online.

I wanted to thank you for all that you both did for our wedding. I was so nervous about sending my dress and making sure that it arrived to me on time. I know now that I shouldn't have worried at all. You took excellent care of my dress as well and the other items we had. I can't thank you enough for sending it back to me as well. I again, was so worried about how to get it back to me. I should have know that you would take care of everything.

I had a Disney wedding on 10/12/11 and my gown and my husband's suit were stored at your facility, then delivered to our room and steamed. I wanted to express how impressed I was in working with your shop and how incredibly pleased I was with the customer service and the finished product. Living so far away and shipping your beloved dress to an unknown shop can be a very intimidating and nerve racking task.
